Meaningfulness and Corporate Social Responsibility should live in harmony. This is why, at Havas, we didn’t wait for CSR to go mainstream before assuming our own responsibilities: we were taking on tangible commitments as early as 2009, with clear ambitions and measurable objectives.
At Havas, we believe that companies have a key role to play in solving the biggest challenges we share in the world. Every day we strive to operate as a responsible business for ourselves and to serve our stakeholders.
In early 2020 we simplified our approach to sustainability to move away from traditional CSR and rethink our impact to drive positive change in the world. We launched Havas Impact+, our CSR programme structured around three key pillars.
The first one, focusing on the environment, regroups all the initiatives aiming to reduce our direct emissions, with an ambitious objective of exceeding the European Union’s target of a 55% reduction by 2030. Ultimately, our ambition is to become the leading communications group on environmental issues by reducing our impact.
Meaningful communication lies at the heart of our second pillar through which we encourage our agencies to harness the power of creative ideas and be a force for good. How do we do this? By creating and broadcasting responsible communication campaigns for ourselves and for our clients.
Last, but certainly not least, the third pillar is centred around people, how we nurture our talents and cultivate meaningful experiences for our employees.
